Village Hall - the hall (signposted) on School Lane holds regular events.  These include film nights, books clubs, indoor bowls, band concerts, treasure hunts, quizzes, games nights, etc. etc.  Everyone is welcome to get involved, especially the annual well-dressing (June), annual village show (September) and annual bonfire celebration (November).  The hall is available for private hire at reduced rates for residents. Neighbourhood Watch -  our village is a fully subscribed member of this association which not only enables us to obtain a discount on house insurance but provides a range of services that benefit our community.  There is a Neighbourhood Watch telephone tree whose members quickly pass on information relevant to the safety and security of our homes and possesions.  To join the telephone tree, send your name and telephone number to neighbourhood watch.

Oil Syndicate -  many of us enjoy savings to our heating bills this winter by consolidating our oil orders into bulk deliveries and thereby obtaining discounts over what we would pay as individuals. For info or to join this buying group email  oil syndicate .

Village Pub - the Lathkil Hotel is our "local"; it is situated to the far east of the village and it provides excellent food, drink and accommodation.  The Lathkil hold regular charity events; annual village favourites include  "Half Gallathon" day (June) for local charities and the ever popular Children in Need day (November) with its 7.1 (country) miles "Leg It Round Lathkill" race . Quiz Night - we have a locally run quiz (winner usually sets the next week's quiz) at the Lathkil Hotel on Wednesday nights at 9:30 pm. Winners get 4 x "Lallys" (free drink vouchers), second get 2, chocolate or crisps for the loosers. Most quizes have themes or acrostics to help with the answers, as it's meant to be a fun night.

Newspapers - the closest provider of a daily newspaper delivery service is Moorhall Post Office & Store.

"Dustbin Day" - normal household refuse is collected every Wednesday with green bin and recyclables collected on alternate weeks.

St Anne's Church

St Anne's is a small gothic church built in 1880.  It is a beautiful village church still with regular services.
